Hump Day Pullback: The Bitcoin and Ethereum Levels to Watch

Bitcoin dipped this week, and the usual headlines followed: “Bitcoin’s done,” “Bitcoin’s crashing.” Before you react, zoom out.

On the October 7 episode of Coffee & Crypto With Natoshi Stackamoto from the Chicago Crypto Hustler channel, the host walked through Bitcoin and Ethereum charts live and made one point clear: nothing goes straight up. In a bull market, pullbacks are buying opportunities, as long as key levels hold.

Here are the main takeaways from the stream, with the exact price levels mentioned.

The Big Picture: More Sats, Not More Dollars

The stream started with a mindset reminder: the goal is to stack as many satoshis as you can, not to chase dollars. Over time, more sats should mean more dollars, but the unit to focus on is Bitcoin.

On the weekly chart, the drop that had social media panicking is one small box on top of a much bigger move. Seen that way, it is a normal pullback, not a crash.

Bitcoin Support Levels: The Weekly Chart

At the time of the stream, Bitcoin was trading around $83,000. Using a Fibonacci retracement from the weekly swing low to the swing high, the host laid out these levels:

ScenarioLevelWhat it means
Expected pullback zone (23.6% to 38.2% Fib)$75,000 to $80,000A normal dip in a strong trend before the move continues
If $75,000 breaks$70,000 to $73,000The next target down
Deep correction (61.8% Fib)About $69,000Still a bullish uptrend, but strong trends usually don’t fall this far

Bitcoin Support Levels: The Daily Chart

On the daily chart, he measured the recent swing from about $75,000 to $87,000:

  • Price lost support at the 23.6% level, then dropped to test the “golden pocket.”
  • It is now retesting that area, which could form a double bottom.
  • $82,661 is the level to hold. Holding it points to more upside, or at least sideways consolidation.
  • If $82,661 breaks, the next level is $82,000 down to about $79,750. That zone is a retest of old resistance and would complete a full 61.8% correction on the daily chart.
  • The MACD is bearish but improving, and volatility is rising. Expect a big move soon, though volatility alone doesn’t say which way.
  • The RSI was rejected twice near 55, a double top on that resistance.

Ethereum Support Levels: Room to Fall, Clear Lines to Watch

Ethereum was trading around $2,566 on Coinbase’s ETH/USDT chart during the stream.

Weekly chart:

  • The 23.6% Fibonacci level is near $2,500. That is also a retest of the previous breakout.
  • If $2,500 breaks, the next big target is near the 61.8% level at about $2,000, a $500 drop. On a weekly chart, a move like that would take weeks, not one night.
  • Weekly volatility is at an all-time low, so a huge macro swing isn’t expected.

Daily chart:

  • Ethereum is already close to a 61.8% correction and is retesting a former sell wall near $2,529. The ideal outcome is for that old sell wall to become a buy wall.
  • $2,529 is only $29 from the $2,500 weekly level, so the two timeframes line up.
  • If buyers push ETH back above $2,635, he’d treat the dip as a bear trap and watch for a reversal upward.

When Will the Crowd Come Back?

One prediction stood out: most people won’t care about Bitcoin again until it is back above $100,000 to $115,000. By then they’ll have missed the buying chances at $60K, $70K, $80K, and $90K.

His view: treat Bitcoin like a long-term savings account. Ask what each dollar you put in could be worth in 5 to 10 years, not what it’s worth this week. The aim is to build a base, or treasury, for yourself and your household. Even a dollar a day or a dollar a week counts.

Inflation, Explained With a Bag of Chips

A viewer asked why prices kept rising from childhood to adulthood. The host gave a simple example: a bag of chips that cost 25 cents when he was a kid now costs 75 cents.

The chips didn’t become more valuable. The dollar lost value. As money gets printed, you need more of it to buy the same thing.

Two ways to see this in your own life:

  1. Your paycheck shrinks over time. At $15 an hour for a 10-hour shift, you earn $150. Hold that cash, and later it may only buy $120 to $130 worth of goods.
  2. Check your old receipts. Pull up Amazon orders or receipts from 2020 and compare those prices with today’s.

That’s the reason he calls Bitcoin a long-term inflation hedge: a way to store your time and energy in something that can’t be printed.

Key Takeaways

  • Pullbacks in a bull market are for buying. Panic headlines are usually looking at a small slice of the chart.
  • Bitcoin levels: $82,661 (daily hold), $79,750 to $82,000 (next support), $75,000 to $80,000 (weekly pullback zone), $70,000 to $73,000 (if $75K breaks).
  • Ethereum levels: $2,529 to $2,500 (key support), $2,635 (bear-trap trigger), $2,000 (deeper macro target).
  • Think in sats and years, not dollars and days.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Bitcoin crashing right now? In this analysis, no. The drop to about $83,000 is a normal pullback inside a larger uptrend. Even a fall to about $69,000 would keep the weekly trend bullish.

What Bitcoin support level matters most right now? On the daily chart, $82,661. If it holds, expect upside or sideways action. If it breaks, watch $79,750 to $82,000.

What is the key support for Ethereum? The $2,500 to $2,529 zone, where the weekly 23.6% Fibonacci level meets a former sell wall on the daily chart.

What does “stack sats” mean? A satoshi (a “sat”) is the smallest unit of Bitcoin, one hundred-millionth of a coin. Stacking sats means building up more Bitcoin over time, often by buying regularly, which is called dollar-cost averaging.
